For some of our associates, working in our offices is the first office position they've held - people with talent come to us from a wide range of industries - retail, restaurant and a host of other employment, which exposes associates to a variety of cultures and personalities.
Aside from specific insight into an opportunity related to a student's major in a working environment, World Internet Marketing offers students a chance to gain first-hand experience to corporate culture, interaction with clients and other students and staff.
Students in our offices undertake internships as part of a credit program towards their majors, and schedules are flexible to accommodate classes or other employment and activities.

All team members undergo a detailed and rigorous check prior to joining World Internet Marketing. Criminal background checks with fingerprint matching against state and federal databases including the FBI are utilized - all educational background is also diligently and thoroughly verified. All full-time, non-intern employees have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree; all speak at least two languages and come from wide employment and educational backgrounds such as journalism, law and business. Interns are expected to provide a regular schedule, with a minimum of 15 hours per week* during a 13- to 18-week period.

After an initial orientation, each student works with a supervisor to coordinate a schedule and to determine the nature and scope of any project he or she will be working on.
Position: Journalism
Description: Do you love to write? Candidates gain unmatched experience in creating and editing press releases, Web content and other documents. Unlike other companies, World Internet Marketing, Inc. encourages interns and first-time employees to write content that will be read and published. Candidates interact with clients directly, working with them to ensure that the press releases written for them meet their needs. Candidates also regularly record video broadcasts of press releases.
Skills and Qualifications: Do you possess excellent writing, grammar and copyediting skills? Are comfortable in assisting and interacting with people?
Position: Marketing/P.R.
Description: Since our business is built around helping businesses grow, marketing, communications and other related majors apply here well. Candidates gain unparalleled experience working on marketing and public relations projects - from direct client services to public relations, candidates are expected to demonstrate their drive and initiative as they take charge of specific aspects of marketing projects. Strong oral and written communications skills must be accompanied by the ability to multi-task. Candidates must be mature and demonstrate their eagerness to learn new skills.
Skills and Qualifications: Candidates must possess very strong written and oral communications skills. The candidate must be comfortable when dealing with clients over the phone and through e-mail. Multi-tasking and working independently are critical.
Position: Copy Editor
Description: Do you like to write? Does it disturb the people you know that you can pick out typos with a glance at a page? Journalism majors and/or English majors or other fields of study requiring extensive writing prepare students well for positions with our editing team. Along with interacting with clients and press releases writing and editing, candidates will be exposed to a wide range of business.
Skills and Qualifications: Strong written and oral communications skills and the ability to work well with others are keys to successful completion of an internship with World Internet Marketing. Besides a mature and responsible outlook, participants in the internship must demonstrate initiative. They must bring a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
Position: Design
Skills and Qualifications: Does the thought of designing excite you? Are you creative? Get involved in updating the look and feel of our sites for elevating the user experience. Complete projects that directly expand your portfolio.
Description: Assist in all graphic design projects, from intial conception to production. Basic graphic design foundation/background allows you to work on professional presentations and create logos, ads, flyers, brochures, HTML emails and website material. Along with the creative work is a company photo/art archive which involves updating files and databases. Candidates must take a proactive approach to start and finish projects independently. Applicants must communicate well, both through their work and with co-workers/supervisors. Technical skills include standard Adobe Suite products like Photoshop and Illustrator, Flash, along with exposure to HTML and PHP.
Position: Technology
Skills and Qualifications: Take charge in assisting in all IT-related projects including website updates, server maintenance, database creation/maintenance. Provide basic office support to user groups, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues. Create timely solutions and improvements. Both Windows-based and LAMP-based server systems are used.
Position: Broadcasting
Skills and Qualifications: Are you eager to launch a career in broadcast journalism? Get a start with World Internet Marketing's Video News Release department. Candidates must possess a strong on-air presence, with professional presence, great speaking and inflection abilities. Able to work independently and take a proactive approach to starting and finishing new projects? Using your working knowledge of lighting, using hi-tech equipment and advanced computer software programs, your ability to directly lead production and direction of custom-made videos will determine your success. Must understand types of file formats including wmv, flash, mp3 and realplayer. Mature and professional conduct expected.
Position: Human Resources
Description: Candidates for this position will assist with the hiring, interviewing and training of new employees. They will be available to assist employees with their various projects, answer their questions and will serve as a liaison between employees and executives. They will also help to point out weaknesses within the office, and work to improve and correct them for the best work environment possible.
Skills and Qualifications: Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, bother written and verbal. Leadership skill are a must for this position. Candidates must also be professional and responsible.
